Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)

Uninterruptible Power Supply (UPS)

UPS is the device that provides electrical power in case of a power loss.

Its common use is for the protection of computers, servers, telephone systems etc. in which case, a sudden shut down could cause damage, data loss or catastrophe of subsystems.

A UPS system protects the devices connected to it from:

  1. Power loss: Complete voltage loss that can cause malfunctions on equipment, especially when it is powered by low or high voltages.
  2. Instantaneous low voltage: Causes ‘blinking’ of lights and sometimes causes computer systems to reboot.
  3. Instantaneous high voltage: Causes wear and damage to electronic equipment.
  4. Low voltage: Low voltage of electrical current (under 210V) that causes electric motors overheating.
  5. High voltage: High voltage of electrical current (over 260V) that damages electronic equipment and can damage lights.

Anysma can undertake the installation of UPS where seamless power supply is needed, according to the establishment’s needs.
