Lightning Protection Systems
The building constructions adhere to Protection Levels which follow standards and regulations and according to their geographical position, the use of the building, the consequences in case of a hitetc. The type and level of for Lightning Protection System required for each particular buildings is determined based on those standards and regulations.
The Lightning Protection System consists of the external and the internal lightning protection system.
The External Lightning Protection System’s goal is to protect the constructions structural parts and any people or animals inside it from direct lightning strikes.
The External Lightning Protection System consists of the collector, known as lightning rod, placed on the highest point of the building, the cables leading downwards and the grounding system.
The Internal Lightning Protection System’s goal is to protect electrical and electronic devices plus any people or animals inside a building and its surrounding area from overvoltage that is the result of either a direct or indirect strike, having an external Lightning Protection System or not.
The Internal Lightning Protection System consists of protection provisions placed inside the installation’s electrical panel. Those are named Surge Arresters.
Anysma undertakes the study, the installation (using certified products) and the maintenance of the system which includes the re-check of the installed system with specialized instruments.
